Configure automatic protection for spam, mentions, links, repeated messages and unwanted content.
Overview
Automatic first-line protection
Automod checks messages and selected member activity against the rules configured by the server. When a rule is triggered, Titan Moderation can remove content, warn or timeout the member and notify staff.
Server staff remain responsible for reviewing important actions and adjusting rules when legitimate members are being detected incorrectly.

Detect repeated messages, rapid message bursts and excessive message activity from one member.

Mention protection
Limit excessive user, role and everyone mentions that may be used to disrupt the server.

Link filtering
Block or review selected links, invite links and domains based on server settings.

Blocked words
Detect configured words or phrases and apply the selected moderation response.

Repeated content
Detect members repeatedly posting the same or very similar messages.

Caps protection
Limit messages containing excessive capital letters where enabled.

Attachment controls
Restrict selected file types or attachments in channels where they are not allowed.

New account checks
Apply additional checks to accounts that were created recently.
Rule actions
Choose what happens when a rule triggers
Delete message
Remove the message that triggered an Automod rule.
Warn member
Create a moderation warning connected to the Automod action.
Timeout member
Temporarily restrict the member for the configured duration.
Alert staff
Send a detailed alert to the selected moderation or security channel.
Ignore and log
Record the event without taking an automatic action against the member.
Exemptions
Exclude trusted roles and channels
Selected Discord roles, channels, bots and server administrators may be exempted from specific Automod rules. Exemptions should be kept limited so protection cannot be bypassed unnecessarily.

Reduce false detections

Start with less aggressive settings and increase protection gradually.

Add trusted staff roles, bots and approved channels to the correct exemptions.

Test blocked words and link filters in a private channel before enabling them server-wide.

Avoid using automatic bans for low-risk message offences.

Review Automod logs regularly for false detections.

Use different settings for public chat, media channels and staff channels.
